SFO 682 is now owned by Richard Parsons for the second time. Initially he bought the Gadabout at an autojumble in Ashford, Kent in 2005, at this time the scooter was in kit form, brush-painted red but it was complete. After storing the scooter for 18 months or so, Richard sold the scooter to a Mr Harrison of Orpington. In 2009 Mr. Harrison, who had carried out little work on the scooter, apart from obtaining some spares and recovering the seat, offered the scooter back to Richard - who bought it for the second time.
Richard had the engine rebuilt to concours standard by Villiers Services in 2010 and the scooter is now awaiting stripdown and repainting, although time pressure means that it is unlikely to see the road again before 2012. Minor welding is needed but the tinware is generally excellent and SFO 682 is still DVLA registered with a V5C.
