Considerable work has had to be done to the aluminium panels to get a satisfactory appearance. A whole new flat front grille panel was made and repairs done to the area around the headlights. Patches were put into the bottom of both the front guards and the front of the rear guards. The bottom of the rear body section also required patching. Hours and hours were spend simply putting the correct shape into the panels to ensure that they were symmetrical on both sides and pleasing to the eye.
I am blessed with an interested and careful panel man and the final result looks like a really good job. The fabrication of new sills and doors is now underway.
Completion date has slipped back a bit, but Easter 2007 is looking likely as the first big day out!
