During the late 1950s the car was raced in Singapore, before being imported to
New Zealand by Paul Vercoe.
In 1979 the Doretti was purchased by Chris Olson in Wanganui, NZ and in 1986 he shipped the car to Australia.
2003 update: - Chassis No.1198 underwent a full body-off restoration. Note that this is one of only a few Dorettis worldwide with a factory hardtop. The car has a modified grille and is now on Historic plates. Other changes include chassis number change from 1148 to 1198, engine exchange from TS2948E to TS3690E and interior trim from black to tan.
