A Doretti in the Dordogne

These pictures of Chassis No.1181 were taken near Bergerac in the Dordogne area of France where I go quite often as the weather is much better than in Holland. The photos were taken one day before a local French car show which I attended with some friends from Holland who stayed with us in our holiday home. Our cars were presented to the local people together with a (French) aperitif.
The next day we went to Boisse (also in the Dordogne) for the car show. Next September we plan on visiting the show again hopefully accompanied by another Doretti.

The first picture is just before the arrival of the local people, the second picture gives you an idea that we have to explain a lot about the British cars and especially about the unknown Doretti. Funny thing is that the UK-registration (STT 24) looks like a local French registration, as all registration numbers in the Dordogne area end with 24 !!

While the car was on display at the show I could easily have sold the registration number, but I am determined that it will stay on the Doretti.
