When JVH 468 was owned by J Philip Wood from West Yorkshire the blue RHD car had wire wheels, no bumpers and a front shroud similar to Spitfire.
When the car was exported from England it was in quite good condition and in the winter season it was stored in a barn just south of Oslo. Unfortunately, in the winter of 1989 the barn burned down and No.1162 was more or less totally destroyed in the fire. All the interior was gone and the owner was seriously considering crushing the Doretti. But fortunately, he decided to retore it and after more than a decade No.1162 is back on the road.
Knut Skoglund's car (No.1118) was used as a reference during the restoration as he knew the owner.
