NEWSLETTER No. 2 - January 2001

At last I feel that I'm starting to get back to normal. During the past year my hard-drive decided to self-destruct and I lost an awful lot of database files and other information.
Yes you guessed correctly, I didn't have backup. It's a very dispiriting feeling knowing that a great chunk of work has just disappeared in an instant. Learning the hard way isn't easy.

Back last summer there was yet another meeting of the Doretti Register at Silverstone courtesy of Duncan Rabagliati. Fortunately it was held the weekend before the TR Register International Weekend, so people were able to attend both events.

Each year more and more restored cars appear and the profile of the marque increases. There are a number of re-built cars scheduled to be on the road this year and we should be able to make the 2003 Annual Meeting a significant event. Have you any suggestions as to how the 50th anniversary can be celebrated in a memorable fashion?

While looking at some other websites I recently came across a Finnish group called Kitsco who have recorded a song called Swallow Doretti and I thought that the lyrics might interest some owners with poetic inclinations. Check it out!

I've added a Sales and Wanted page to the site where you can let other owners know about parts you want to sell/exchange or buy. There is also a new Technical section which will give you a chance to share information about various mechanical and electrical problems you've solved or need help to fix.
